& Tube China 2006 ended on 28 September at the Shanghai New International
Expo Center to general acclaim as a very successful event. Statistics show that
the 2nd wire & Tube China boasted a gross exhibition area of 40,000 square
meters, an increase of 14,000 square meters over the 2004 event. In total 923
well known enterprises both from China and 31 foreign countries and regions gathered
in Shanghai once again. At wire China, altogether 8 national pavilions from Austria,
France, Germany, Italy, North America, U.K., South Korea and Spain participated
in extensive display areas, while at Tube China, national pavilions from Germany,
Austria, U.K., North America and Spain also exhibited in similar fashion in a
very busy four days.
The
2nd All China - International Wire & Cable Industry Trade Fair (wire China
2006), jointly organized by Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute and Messe
Düsseldorf China Ltd., and the 2nd All China - International Tube and Pipe Industry
Trade Fair (Tube China 2006) jointly organized by Metallurgical Council of the
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Messe Düsseldorf China
Ltd, received great support from numerous domestic and overseas associations,
media as well as Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, and a large number of delegations from
China Taiwan, India, South Korea, Japan, and various provinces, municipalities
and autonomous regions in Mainland China visited the show. The four-day event
attracted about 32,000 trade visitors, of which 4,193 were from more than 90 countries.
Attending
the opening ceremony at the exhibition grounds on the morning of Sept. 25 were
Mr. Joachim Erwin, Lord Mayor of the city of Düsseldorf, Mr. Lu Yansun, Former
Vice Minister of Machinery Building Industry and Special Advisor to China Machinery
Industry Federation (CMIF), Mr. Liu Zhenjiang, Vice Chairman of China Iron &
Steel Association (CISA), Mr. Zhang Chengjun, Vice Director of State-owned Assets
Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, Mr.
Jian Heping, Vice Director of Shanghai Municipal Foreign Economic Relation &
Trade Commission, and Mr. Werner M. Dornscheidt, President & CEO of Messe
Düsseldorf GmbH, among many other distinguished guests, who cut the ribbon for
the exhibition marking the grand opening of the event. More than 100 journalists
visited the event and made full-coverage and in-depth reports on the exhibition.
In addition to the display
of latest products and technologies of famous brands in the industry, this exhibition
also highlighted its professional caliber by launching a new Chemical Zone, where
internationally renowned wire and cable material manufacturers participated in
a large scale and displayed their professional products to trade visitors from
home and abroad. The set up of the special zone greatly helped professional buyers
from the wire and cable industry in visiting and purchasing to meet their different
needs. Moreover, nearly 60 spring and fastener machine manufacturers and nearly
40 wire and cable products manufacturers from home and abroad also made their
presence at the event. A
total of 22 concurrent forums and technical seminars were held, covering a great
variety of topics and attracting more professional visitors. China Wire &
Cable Industry Conference, a great industry event organized by Shanghai Electric
Cable Research Institute, and Exhibition of 30-Year Achievements of China Optical
Fiber and Cable Industry and "30 Years of Optical Fiber and Cable Industry
in China" were also held in parallel with the exhibition, attracting wide
attention from and beyond the industry, which also fully reflects the wide recognition
and approval of wire & Tube China by industry insiders.
The 3rd All China
- International Wire & Cable Industry Trade Fair and All
China-International Tube and Pipe Industry Trade Fair will be
held from Sept. 23 to 26, 2008, in Shanghai. We firmly believe
