The 3rd All China-International
Wire & Cable Industry Trade Fair (wire China 2008) jointly
organized by Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute and
Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd., and The 3rd All China-International
Tube and Pipe Industry Trade Fair (Tube China 2008) jointly
organized by Metallurgical Council of the China Council for
the Promotion of International Trade(MC-CCPIT) and Messe Düsseldorf
China Ltd., will be held from September 23 to 26, 2008 at Shanghai
New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
The 2nd All China
- International Wire & Cable Industry Trade Fair in 2006
(wire China 2006) and the 2nd All China-International Tube and
Pipe Industry Trade Fair (Tube China 2006) attracted much attention
from the industry. During the four-day event, total 923 well-known
enterprises home and abroad from 31 countries and regions actively
participated in the exhibition, featuring a gross exhibition
area of 40,000 square meters. Enterprises from Austria, France,
Germany, Italy, North America, Britain, Korea and Spain participated
in wire China 2006 in national pavilions. At Tube China 2006,
national pavilions from Germany, Austria, Britain, North America
and Spain also made a high-profile presence and exhibited their
latest products. Meanwhile, thanks to the massive support from
numerous associations home and abroad, media and Messe Düsseldorf
GmbH, we received quite a few visitor delegations from, Iran,
Korea, Japan, China Taiwan Province and various provinces, cities
or autonomous regions in mainland China. The four-day event
attracted 30,131 trade visitors. The twin events were universally
acclaimed in terms of service, quality, scale and professionalism
and well recognized by the industry, and became an UFI approved
event.
The market gives
an impetus to the industry and the industry secures the development
of trade fairs. Under the macro-environment of Chinese economic
boom, the industry of wire and cable keeps rapid growth momentum
and plays an important role in manufacturing industry. The manufacturing
level of Chinese manufacturers of wire and cable has been greatly
improved after its rapid development in the period of the Tenth
Five-year Plan. In terms of manufacturing scale calculated in
output of conductors, China has surpassed USA and Japan and
become the biggest manufacturer of wire and cable accounting
for over 20% of the global total. At the same time, China maintains
an annual market growth rate of over 10% and is one of the fastest
growing markets in the world. In the aspect of tube and pipe
industry, China has been the largest steel tube producers and
consumer in the world over the years. During the Tenth Five-year
Plan, the output of steel tubes keeps pace with the growth of
national steel products in China. With the increase of the total
number of newly-started projects in real estate, architecture
scale witnesses a corresponding growth. Key national construction
projects such as Beijing Olympic Stadium and Shanghai Expo Stadium
will boost the demand for steel tubes in steel structures.
Following the splendid
achievements of the previous two editions and the advent of
a time of boom demand in the related industries in the near
future, wire China 2008 and Tube China 2008 will lead the tide
of international wire and tube industry and provide an optimal
platform for enterprises to explore the market in China. With
the continued assistance and support from Messe Düsseldorf GmbH
and numerous trade associations home and abroad, the twin events
are anticipated to record a total exhibition area of about 50,000
square meters gross. So far, the booking of exhibition booths
is in full swing.
