The worldwide leader in High Frequency Solid-State Induction Welding for tube and pipe applications, Thermatool, East Haven, Conn., has supplied equipment for a new mill in L&R Industries Inc.’s mechanical steel tube division in Mountain Grove, Mo.
The equipment includes a 300-kW CFI high-frequency welding machine and an Alpha Mach 2 high-speed flying shear cutoff. The cutoff incorporates a noncontact laser velocimeter that offers cut length accuracy of 1 mm or less. L&R also acquired the company’s ThermaView™ advanced diagnostic software package for control and feedback of the welding machine power settings.
Thermatool Corp. is an Inductotherm Group Company, which subsidiary in China has already signed up for Tube China 2020, the Asia’s most influential tube and pipe industry expo. The 2020 tube exhibitionwill return at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from September 23 to 26, 2020, with leading brands of tube and pipe manufacturing and processing industries from around the world.
