CN - ANDRITZ CHINA HPU FOUNDRY BREAKS OUTPUT RECORD

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent closure or reduction of business, the ANDRITZ (China) Ltd. foundry lost almost 20 working days and around 90 tons of output in February 2020. This caused a high backlog of 305 tons of open pouring production orders in the period from March to April 2020. Thus, HPU faced a high risk of significant delays in numerous projects.

Following the ease of restrictions in China, the foundry immediately started its full production again to master the delivery pressure. Thanks to all the employees’ hard work and good production planning, the net pouring achieved 153 tons in March and 160 tons in April. This number marks a new record in the output history and even breaks the previous record from the year 2011.
