Stevens Engineers & Constructors Upgrades Pipe Manufacturing Equipment: THERMPROCESS EXHIBITION News

The processing scope of Stevens Engineers & Constructors' factory includes pipes of various diameters, pipe racks, equipment skids, support steel, as well as pipes of various material strengths with a diameter from 0.5 inches to 72 feet. THERMPROCESS EXHIBITION learned that the factory recently installed a Novarc Spool welding robot at its Middleburg Heights, Ohio facility to increase output.

Previously, manual welding of an 18-inch heavy-duty pipe took more than 12 hours, but after improving the equipment, using a robot for welding can reduce this time to 33 minutes.

After upgrading the relevant welding robot equipment, the company now has the capability to perform angle welding, handle pipes over 21 feet in length, and weld an entire pipe without stopping.

THERMPROCESS EXHIBITION found out that the surveillance cameras of the new manufacturing system can record the entire welding process, allowing the factory to adjust the manufacturing process and control product quality based on the video.

This equipment has almost no operating restrictions. It can process various sizes and specifications according to order requirements. The dual positioner can simultaneously carry out welding and preparation work, effectively improving work efficiency.
