By bringing these research projects into direct contact with real-world industrial applications, the Cable X Plan created new opportunities for joint innovation and helped connect promising research with practical needs across the industry, while contributing fresh momentum to the high-quality development of the wire and cable industry.

From Exhibition Booths to Production Lines | Factory Open Day Offers an Inside Look into Advanced Manufacturing

This year, wire China 2026 took industry exchange beyond the exhibition halls with its Factory Open Day program, giving participants the opportunity to visit leading manufacturers and see advanced production in action. Two dedicated routes took guests behind the scenes of benchmark factories, where they met with company executives and technical specialists and gained a closer understanding of the equipment, manufacturing processes and quality-control systems that underpin high-end wire and cable production.

One route explored smart equipment and digitalized production lines, highlighting how digital and intelligent technologies are reshaping manufacturing. The other took participants into a major wire and cable industry cluster, with visits to leading companies in equipment manufacturing and advanced materials R&D.

By bringing industry players together in real production environments, the Factory Open Day created a more direct setting for suppliers and buyers to exchange ideas, discuss technologies and explore applications. The program opened up new possibilities for deeper technical collaboration and broader business connections across the industry.

Smarter Visitor Services, Powered by Digital Tools and AI

wire China 2026 further enhanced the visitor experience with a new generation of smart, personalized services.

The Intelligent Navigation Map put the entire exhibition at the fingertips of visitors. Available in Chinese and English, and accessible across devices, the digital map made it easy to find exhibitors and booths, save destinations and build personalized routes. Visitors also used it to locate nearby restaurants, lounges and other facilities, making it easier to plan their visit and navigate the exhibition efficiently.

The official AI assistant, Keno, offered another convenient way to access exhibition information. With multilingual AI-powered support, Keno covered key services including exhibitor and product information, business matchmaking, event schedules and on-site assistance. Visitors from around the world were able to access the assistant online at will, making it easier to find information, get answers and connect with the services they need throughout the exhibition.
