BLM Group’s LT7 processes round and square tube, open profiles
BLM Group USA has introduced the LT7, a new generation of Lasertube capable of 3-D cutting. Its 3-kW fiber laser cuts round, square, and rectangular sections up to 6 in. It also can process special sections and open profiles.
Loading chains can be extracted quickly from the rear standard bundle loader for loading a single bar or open section. The loading and unloading systems also adapt to accommodate short and long parts with tube supports throughout the process.
Two software programs help enhance the unit’s versatility. The Protube monitoring system helps users make accurate time and cost estimates based on processing time for an entire production batch. The system also prepares work orders and sends them to the machine. Artube 3-D CAD/CAM software allows users to move from a design idea to a part in one click. The software can also design a more complex frame through 3-D graphics, or users can import other CAD programs.
